PHIL BRIGHAM

Phil Brigham was born in 1952 just outside of Toronto, Ont., Canada and began singing and playing guitar at age 15. One of the first songs Phil learned was the buck owens classic "Act Naturally", a favorite of his mom's.

when Phil turned 18 his family moved to Paris, France. Phil joined the British/American rock group "Clinic", and co-wrote and performed on the soundtrack for "The Road To Salina", one of the last movies to feature Rita Hayworth.

In 1971 Phil Met Doors vocalist Jim Morrison in Paris weeks before Morrison's death this story is later told in the book "No-One Here Gets Out Alive". This same year Phil Moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music.

In 1980 Phil co-wrote and, played lead and bass guitar on song chosen for WCOZ radio's "Best Of The Boston Beat" album. WCOZ was one of the top local stations at the time.

1981 & 82 found Phil Opening concerts for Jonathan Edwards, Average White Band, Leon Russell, and many other major recording artists.

In 1985 Phil began playing Lead guitar for "Yankee Jack & Marie", and in 86 won the MCMAA's "Most Promising Male Artist" award. Phil left "Yankee Jack & Marie" in 1986 but returned in 1988 to play Bass Guitar, winning several more MCMAA awards, including "Bass Player Of The Year". While playing with "Yankee Jack & Marie" Phil Opened shows for Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, Charlie Daniels, and other Nashville Greats.

since 1991 Phil has been writing and plays most instruments on the original background music used for ABC and NBC made-for-tv movies, 20/20 news shows, the Ricki Lake show, Nickelodeon and Lifetime cable networks.

Now Phil is working with Annemarie and the Girls to give the band its Driving edge.
